SALARY INFORMATION $6876 MONTHLY *Starting salary above the minimum of
the range is dependent upon qualifications and approval from the Salt
Lake County Mayor's Office.

Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's
degree in Information Systems, Business Management, Public
Administration or other closely related field, *plus* four (4) years of
related work experience,*or* an equivalent combination of related
education and experience.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION (NOT INCLUSIVE)
The Information Services division has an opening for a *Development
Manager 39*. Duties would include, but are not limited to:
Plans, organizes and prioritizes all activities relating to application
development. Facilitates the specification, acquisition, development,
implementation, customization, and maintenance of complex systems
distributed across many user locations, technology infrastructures, and
political boundaries. Manages complex technology infrastructures through
constant technology change and changes in user expectations. Guides
internal and outsource management of application's portfolios. Works
with senior management to specify, acquire, develop, implement,
customize, and maintain complex systems through internal efforts,
contracting, outsourcing or other means. Continually researches and
evaluates new technology for possible application to Salt Lake County
needs. Develops overall plans and priorities. Maximizes the
effectiveness of limited monetary and human resources. Administers the
performance, training, and hiring for a staff of 25 software developers.
Continually benchmarks Salt Lake County's standards and practices
against the best in the industry and implements changes, when
appropriate, into new and existing systems to extend capability and
productivity. Plans for projects and resource requirements needed in the
preparation of the annual budget.
