PROJECT COORDINATOR -- Ogden City
Redevelopment Specialist
Community And Economic Development Department

Experience and Training Guidelines:   This position requires at least 
four years of progressively responsible experience in redevelopment, 
community development, neighborhood revitalization, real estate 
development, or  a related field; and the equivalent to a Bachelors 
degree from an accredited college or university with major course work 
in business, urban planning, construction management/ finance or a 
related field; or an equivalent combination of the above stated work 
experience and education (year for year substitution); possession of, or 
ability to obtain, a valid Utah driver's license.

Knowledge of: Knowledge of Redevelopment project management, community 
development principles and techniques, urban design, contract 
management, HUD Community Planning & Development programs, real estate 
finance, and the principles of real estate development.

Ability to:  Organize one's own time and work load in accomplishing 
assignments; maintain accurate program files;  work effectively with the 
general public and with persons of all income levels and backgrounds;  
communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; establish 
and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the 
course of work; maintain mental and physical condition appropriate to 
the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities, use Microsoft 
Office computer software and operate a motor vehicle as needed to 
conduct business.   

Essential Functions: Managing major inner-city revitalization effort 
through implementing neighborhood revitalization plans, including 
project management of:  real estate purchases, demolition, new 
construction and/or rehab of residential or commercial properties, 
presenting projects to the community and coordinating with other 
agencies.  Will be responsible for identifying revitalization solutions 
and resources, and measuring results and reporting those results. 

Driver License Report (MVR): Driver License Report (MVR) will be 
obtained by the Human Resources Division if applicable.

Veteran's Preference Points: Veterans points will be awarded based on 
State guidelines.  Must submit DD-214 with application in order to be 
awarded points.  This is for initial appointments only.

Education Requirement: Successful applicant MUST submit a verification 
of the minimum education requirement i.e. a college transcript BEFORE 
appointment.

Salary Range: Range 45 - $1,632.03 to $2,292.13 (bi-weekly rate)
