The Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) is seeking applications for
the position of Institutional Research Officer. This position reports to
the Director of Institutional Research. Primary duties include, but are
not limited to:
· Serve as a resource for USHE, system institutions, and
external constituents by preparing interpretive analyses and presenting
findings in written, graphic and oral forms.
· Coordinate special statistical reports, surveys, forecasts,
and trend analyses.
· Develop, implement and coordinate the procedures of gathering,
summarizing, reporting, producing, and distributing information within
USHE, its member institutions, and state offices.
· Consult with USHE Institutional Research offices in designing
and maintaining information systems and databases, as needed for data
analysis, studies, reports and other data needs.
The successful candidate will have at a minimum, a Bachelor's degree in
Management Information Systems, Public Administration, Computer Science,
Educational Research or related field and 2 years of job related
experience in a higher education setting. The ideal candidate will have
a Master's degree and experience with statistical software such as SPSS
or SAS. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are a must.
Beginning Salary will be between $42,000 - $57,000/yr plus an attractive
benefits package including paid vacation and health insurance. Actual
salary will depend on qualifications and experience. Consideration of
