This is a research consulting job in which incumbents design, conduct, and coordinates research related to the Utah Department of Corrections programs and operations. Incumbents are required to have working knowledge, skills, and abilities related to designing, conducting, and coordinating research studies. The incumbent will utilize research principles to conduct studies to provide the Department with information that is relevant to decision makers and have the ability to effectively communicate research findings both orally and in writing. The incumbent will have computer-related skills necessary to complete research analysis, including an understanding of how to extract data from databases and proficiency in standard statistical analysis software such as SPSS or SAS. Incumbents in this job may supervise subordinate staff or consultants.
