Program Analyst Job Responsibilities for Green waste Study



*    Evaluating Green Waste Collections(Environmental studies):  research and reporting for the best approach for green waste collections within the District that services 80,500 homes.

*  Evaluate the Waste Stream: potential to participate in waste audits to determine the district's diversion rate of recycling from the black garbage can and determine the amount of green waste being put in the black can: responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting all data.

*  Work with the Recycling Program Manager and Education outreach coordinator to present data and information regarding green waste to residents living in the service district, city and county council members.

*  Willingness to speak with residents concerning green waste and educate them on the benefits and disadvantages to different forms of green waste collection.

Pay Scale: $15 to $16 per hour pending experience. This is a non-benefited position.

SLCo Special Service District # 1 (Sanitation)

Program Analyst Responsibilities for Human Resource System Design



Effective January 1, 2013, the Special District will transfer 74 employees from Salt Lake County Government to the District.   This position will assist the Human Resource Consultant and Sanitation Internal Services Manager to design a HRM system for the Special District to ensure adequate and appropriate HR Management for District employees.



Specific Duties:

*        Serve as the assistant for the HR Consultant and as assigned, research State Statutes related to Human Resource Management for Special Districts and report findings to the HR Consultant.

*        Assist the Committee for human resource policy development for the Special District, drafting applicable County Policies to District Policies and creating any others to effectively manage human resources.

*        Assist the Consultant and the Director with developing effective presentations for the Administrative Control Board for Policy approval process.


The assistance would carry over until February 2013 or longer pending needs of the organization.



Pay Scale: $15 to $16 per hour pending experience. This is a non-benefited position.
