Roosevelt City is seeking an experienced finance/management professional to fill its open Assistant City Manager/Finance Director position. Please review the information below. About Roosevelt: Roosevelt City is in Duchesne County and is located in Northeastern Utah, in the heart of the Uintah Basin. The City currently has a population of 6,000 and has 37 full-time and over 100 part-time employees. The City is a modern community with an economy that is driven by the oil and gas industry. It is home to the Uintah Basin Medical Center, which is one of the best medical facilities in all of Rural Utah and employs over 600 people. Higher education opportunities are available in Roosevelt at Utah State University Uintah Basin Campus. The City is also home to the Uintah Basin Applied Technology Center, which was the first ATC in the State of Utah, and offers one of the finest nursing programs in the State. The City owns and operates 18-hole municipal golf course and a municipal airport. There are two large co-operatives located in Roosevelt Moon Lake Electric, Strata Networks (phone, cell, cable TV), which employ many of our citizens. Finance Director/Assistant City Manager
Salary: Salary negotiable DOQ. Excellent retirement and benefits package. Requires a bachelor's degree from accredited 4-year university in accounting/business or related field and 3+ years accounting/finance and management experience, preferably in a government setting. Strong management, interpersonal, communication and analytical skills. Works as the Finance Director and Asst. City Manager. Finance Director, responsible for daily accounting operations. Also performs; financial reporting, budget preparation and monitoring of annual budgets of totaling $10M, cash management, fiscal policy development, payroll, and benefits. Asst. City Manager, performs general management duties, supervises multiple departments as assigned. Works with City Manager and elected officials to ensure efficient City operation. Works under supervision of the City Manager.
