Utah Afterschool Network (UAN) is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated leader with strong fiscal management, fundraising, and consensus-building skills, and a commitment to bridging relationships and partnerships between the public and private sectors to serve as Executive Director.
UAN, a nonprofit organization, is part of national network that brings together established statewide afterschool networks in their collective mission to build partnerships and policies that are committed to the development and sustainability of quality afterschool programs. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director (ED) is responsible for the growth, development and strategic leadership of UAN and the execution of its mission and initiatives. Responsibilities include leadership, planning, talent management, fiscal management, resource development, public policy development, public engagement and awareness.
ED is responsible to create a sustainable structure of statewide, regional, and local partnerships, particularly school-community partnerships, focused on supporting policy development at all levels. Cultivate and implement a culture of learning, adapting, and leading organizational and systemic change regarding the out-of-school time technical assistance system. Ensure out$B!>(Bof-school time programs are high quality. Enable the development of statewide policies to secure resources to sustain new and existing out-of-school time programs. Ensure programmatic excellence, rigorous program evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems and effectively communicate performance to the board, funders, and other stakeholders.
TRAINING & QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor$B!G(Bs Degree in nonprofit management, child and youth development, education, public administration or a related field; and minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role, as an executive director or manager with significant responsibilities in relationship building, problem solving, negotiating and facilitating. All candidates should have proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience; unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation; excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage, and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a complex budget; strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders; strong written and verbal communication skills; and excellent computer skills.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Competitive and commensurate with experience. This is a full-time, exempt position with comprehensive benefit plan including health, dental and vision benefits, retirement contributions, vacation, and sick time.
